Text Box: The straddle mount torque rod needs to be checked at every PM to tighten the lock nuts (supplied by the vehicle manufacturer) . The tapered stud type also needs to be checked for a torque value of 175 to 225 foot pounds.

Text Box: The cross tube connects the two beams together and restricts side movement of the axles on turns. Up to 3" movement is normal. The cross tube is usually only replaced when it is bent. A bent cross tube will cause axle misalignment.
